______ We Stand, _______ We Fall

This, as always, is another important post of mine. Just like the others. They're all important.

Wow. What a time to be alive, am I right? This is insane. History is being made, all the time, everywhere, by everyone. Well. Almost everyone. Some don't care what happens with the world, or the people on it, except for themselves of course.

Post Jump (different thought that will tie in in a little bit) (for future reference)

I once had a man from Wilson, where I live, ask me if I was going to stay around the area my whole life. I, being smart, answered with a big whopping NO. I can not think of anything worse than staying in any one location for my whole life. The nature around here is fantastic, but I just can't coexist with these people. The man replied, "Yeah, you say that, and I did too, but eventually you'll get married and realize this is the perfect place to raise your kids." I think about that a lot, because that's such a lie. I definitely enjoyed growing up here, but I was living under a rock. Everyone was. There's a lot of old people, majority racist, or at the least racially biased, and they're the ones raising these children. I'm not even going to get started on LGBTQIA+ and the communities thoughts on it. Or sexism. Or any -ism really. Mental health is never brought up.

The community is stuck in a rut, as is much of the nation, in their own little ways. People are so right or left wing that they get stuck flying in circles.

The way out of this situaton we're in, whether its the pandemic that is Covid-19, the brutality of police against minorities, the economic collapse, presidential elections, etc., is education.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Misinformation is the most effective tool used in politics. I know you've heard examples everywhere. Points people make that are either misinformed, or uneducated, or straight up false. Phrases like:

All Lives Matter (That's like not celebrating your kids birthday because "Everyone Gets Older")

White Privilege (You may have gone through hard times, but not because you're white)

Defund the Police (Not "No Police". Review of what they stand for, their budget, and tactics)

Covid-19 is a whole other story. I walked into church the other week, because I was raised Christian and am a practicing one when able, and I was the only one wearing a mask. Out of like, 150 people I wanna say? A kid I know saw me with a mask and said: "Seriously? You're buying into that? Are you serious?" I didn't let it go to my head. After all, a couple months back he said that all women are... well... not very nice things. So I already knew he was insane and unreasonable. And also a lost cause. Anyway, it was the first week back, and there were hardly any precautions taken to prevent sickness. Because a lot of people don't believe in something they can't see, while also believing in something that they can't see. Go figure.

Sexism is another huge matter. In fact lets do a crossover. Imagine a sexist, and somebody that's misinformed, getting into an argument about female presidents. The sexist would probably make the point about females starting wars because of hormones, which is sexist, right? Correct me if I'm wrong. Then the other would probably go: "Haven't all wars been started by men?"

I've seen that played out multiple times across multiple platforms, and it's ridiculous. All wars? Do some frickin research man. Yes, sexism was very prevalent, so there weren't a lot of powerful female leadership roles. A study though, showed that women leadership in Europe, specifically married women, often acting Queens, were 27% more likely to wage war, or get their country involved in war.

I'm not going to get super factual or try to convince you of what to believe, but if there's one thing I want you to take away from this, it's the need we have for correct information. Don't get your news from the media, or from Trumps Twitter, or from Reddit, or from Twitter in general, or from any questionable source. Do actual research.

The media used to tell us what actually happened, and we had to decide how we felt about it.

Now it tells us how we should feel about something, and we decide if it actually happened.

We need to stand united, not fall divided. We can't be united without knowledge.

If you want further clarification on any of this, please let me know. I might let you in on my thoughts.
