Thanks for stopping back, it means a lot. I had taken a little bit of a break there, unintentionally. Maybe it was intentionally. I kinda needed a little bit to pull myself back together after that last one. If you were here for the last one, fantastic. If not, you've got a minute, right? Go check it out.
I considered being all pessimistic this time around as well, but we kinda need a break from that, no? Well, we'll see actually. I've got a couple topics bouncing around in my head, and it's only a matter of time before one comes out on top.
Fun fact about me, if you didn't already know it: I love knowing people. My favorite thing in the world is knowing everybody, knowing what they like, what their usual order is, etc. As a result, I looooooove my job sometimes. I get so excited whenever somebody comes up to the counter to order and I already have it all punched in already, because I know what they're gonna get. I should really go through and type out all the orders I know sometime just for my own enjoyment. Anyway.
I think it's actually a John Mulaney quote, but I need everybody to like me all the time. It's exhausting. I hate it when people don't like me. I'd like to clarify. I don't need EVERYbody to like me. There are people that I'm perfectly okay not liking, and I hope it's mutual for those select few.
Onward and upward.
One of my favorite movies to quote, (besides ____________________ of course, guess the correct answer for bonus points), is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The movie itself is fantastic, but the quotes are phenomenal. One of the best, in my opinion, is the quote: "A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men". Good point there. Every genius is also pretty nonsensical. Pythagoras? Pythagorean Theorem guy? He believed that at no point in life, under any circumstances, should you eat beans. There's that fact for you for the day.
I feel as though that q summarizes my stance on most aspects of life. Life can't be serious allll the time you know? Even in the workplace. Nobody ever actually wants to be at work. It's a drag. You have to find little things to do to keep your sanity in check. Little nonsensical actions. For instance, my sister and I will tuck little decaled tickets from the kitchen, or other little mementos, into little corners or nooks or crannies or whatever. It's fun. Do people take 'em out sometimes, defeating the purpose? Yeah. But we keep doing it. I don't do any of it for the end goal, for there isn't one really. I do it for the sake of just doing it. I do it for the same reason I stock cigarettes for my outlet. Do I want people to smoke? Nah. Do I smoke? Nah. Do I want to learn about smoking any further? I'm good.
BUT.
It gives me the chance to run to the gift shop, stretch my legs, get a good look at how many people are out on the floor, say hi to Rachel or Laura or Judy or Dorinda or whoever else. It spices up my day. I know I'm forgetting an OG gift shop worker, so if you're reading this, I'm sorry, it's not personal.
Life is boring by default, and it's up to us to make it not that way.
If you haven't gathered this from what I've already written both past and present, I'm a very social person. I gain energy from being around people, whereas others might soon-after feel drained. You can imagine my dismay upon realizing I was gonna have to stay home alone for like a week or so. Like, yeah, I'm capable of handling everything, and I was, and I did, but it was by no means fun. I can't count on one hand how many times I almost lost my mind.
Quickly realizing I've only made about half of a point thus far in this post.
A) Spice up your life with nonsense. With random, fun little actions. Life's too short for anything other than an interesting time.
B) Nah, I feel like that's a solid enough point for one post. I'm in charge here after all.
It won't be nearly as long of a stretch between this post and the next, so no sweat.
Uhhhhh... I have these little QR code, blog name, sticker thingies I'm checking into. I can get 'em pretty cheap. Let me know if you guys would be interested.
If you're looking for an update on apparel related merchandise, there isn't really all that much of an update. The company I've used for the previous hoodies is wanted to charge a bit for this colorful of a design, so I'm exploring my options as far as different suppliers or less colorful of designs goes.
I think that's all I've got in me for this post. More to come. I only gave the post this title because of Dr. Doof from Phineas and Ferb. I know. Childish. But funny, and that's what really matters, no?
