"I'm Trying to Be So Cool"

( Yes, that's a Twenty-One Pilots lyric ) :P

Welcome back to HQ. Or, rather, BMFAMT.

( I'll work on a better name for sure. )

So, you know how everybody tries to be so cool all the time? Always have the coolest clothes, always have the coolest car, know how to do all of the Fortnite dances properly, etc... You know the people...

Well, I was thinking about them.

See the thing is: You can own all the Gucci that you want and that still won't make you cool. The CLOTHES may be cool. Your watch, or whatever else it is that you own and are proud of, may be cool, but it doesn't necessarily mean that YOU are. I'm not trying to inspire low self-esteem or anything, but I'm right aren't I? It's more than just the material things that make you a cool person.

Also, there are people who know that that's the case, and are the coolest people I know.

There are ALSO people, who think that's not the case. Those people are the actual worst.

You can be cool, and own expensive things, but expensive things don't make you a cool person. See how that works?

Being cool, to me at least, has to do entirely with who you are as a person. What's on the inside. That's what counts.

Being happy.

Being nice to others.

Not bullying people.

Believe it or not, not swearing.

Not letting your temper flare at the little things.

Enjoying and living in the moment.

Not being afraid to make weird memories.

Laughing out loud, even if nobody else is.

Honesty.

You name it. Cool people are the best. Not materialistic people.

Also, to address another item, entirely not in line with this one, I have a Facebook page now, on which I will be sharing all of my updates, and other cool information. Maybe even a chance for you all to be involved, or give inspiration and ideas.

Faythe! To be completely honest, I don't remember how long ago we met, but it's felt like we've known each other forever.. As a fellow Enfp-t, I can say... wait... nevermind. My mistake. :P You're so cool, and you are such a natural leader amongst everybody else. You have a gift. You really do. Just writing entire plays for class weekends and such. AND you're only a sophomore! Amazing things are going to be in your future for sure. I'll always remember all the times we would meet in the hallways, and no matter how tired or how stressed you were, you would call me out, give me a high-five, and just talk for a minute or two. You're super cool, an low-key stunning. Keep smiling :) -Dom

Jamie. You sir, are one of the OG-est, funniest, sarcastic, relate-able dudes that I know. I feel like I don't even have the vocabulary to explain all of how you've affected me in the past year and a half or so, so let's see how much CAN be covered. I don't exactly remember the very first time that we actually started to hang out... I think it's one of those "Frog in a pot of boiling water" kind of scenarios. Because I'm sure I wouldn't have liked you if I was just all of a sudden like locked in a room with you or something weird like that. I've grown used to you, and you to me. And with that, we've discovered all the similarities and interests that we share. I appreciate all the crazy things that you do all the time. Page Zero, crawling out of the lobby window, challenging me to make this twice as long as anybody elses, writing an entire half-page in my yearbook last year, being my friend. Living your life in general. You're also a really hard worker. I know for a fact that I would not be able to handle Chemisty AND Algebra 2. I still don't know how you do it. I'll always remember all the times when I've wanted to leave right after my shift behind the desk, and how you are always like, "Wait, you're not going to leave me are you?", and then I proceed to not leave. Anyways, you are a true man Mr. Cox, and I hope to one day be as cool as you. --D_o_m_i_n_i_c

It is with great regret that I inform you all of the passing of Stan Lee, writer at Marvel Comics, creator of hundreds of characters, inspirer of billions, and the best superhero to ever grace the face of this earth. You will be missed. Rest in peace. Excelsior!
