MeTube Rewind 2019

So there's this thing called Youtube Rewind, and Youtube does it every year. It's basically a highlight reel. Or like, "Last Season, on Youtube", just so everybody kinda knows whats going on more or less... Don't watch them. They're a waste of time.

That being said. I thought I would do a MeTube Rewind. We, you included, have had this place running for over a year now. That hasn't really sunk in yet.

So hop in this time machine and lets take a look at what was going on in my life one year ago...

I had just returned downstate from my first home leave of the 2018-2019 school-year at Great Lakes Adventist Academy.

I was sick, and, as one does, had the day off of classes, due to my ailment. I flew through the Word Puzzles the Best School Nurse in the world had given me, and was scrolling through the Book of Faces. I saw a link to a friends blog, (http://www.whatyouimagineisreal.com) and after some quick thinking, thought to myself, "Wait, I could do that.. How hard could it be? I wouldn't have to invest THAT much time into it."

Boy was I wrong lol

But I got started anyway, for lack of better things to do. I wrote about what was on my mind, and planted clues to bigger, more fun, things. None of you caught it, so I put that on hold. I probably had some 3D's Pizza in my dorm room. It was probably cold pineapple pizza.

In this past year,

• One of my siblings was married, and another got engaged

• I turned nineteen

• I withdrew from Great Lakes

• I had the cops called on me for trespassing on public property

• I managed to remain single the whole time, breaking my previous record of 18 years

• I came into the possession of twenty one pilots tickets

• I opened my heart to somebody, and in turn they closed it back up

• I managed to lose a couple close friends because I wouldn't tell them something deeply personal. Shout out to: .... wait darn it, I forgot their names.... Oh well, must not be important *inserts shrugging emoji*

• I was threatened by the head deans daughter because of my first guest-blogger -.- Go figure. Also my date dumped me as an SA Banquet date because of the guest-blogger. So that was mature.

• I learned how to swim.. mostly... it's not perfect, but I won't drown *inserts shrugging emoji*

• I managed to survive another year in the racist, sexist, everything-else-ist community that is Wilson.

• I witnessed a drop in the headcount of those with a work ethic that surround me

• I became increasingly immune to the haters

That's about all that I can think of actually...

It's been a rough year.

That being said, I was listening to the song Stepping Stone by Eminem, and I was just kinda thinking about life and the people in it. Here's a quote:

I'ma wash away my sins. I'ma rinse away this dirt. I forgot to make amends to all the friends I may have hurt. I better stop and say my grace, from it I pray that I don't fall. 'Cause on the way back down I may end up runnin' back into them all. I never meant to use you all as my stepping stones

So, the lesson hidden in that deep set of lyrics is this for me:

There's been a lot of people in my life that I've had to cut out. Mainly friends. I've still got all of my family with me, so thank the Lord for that. Toxic people are everywhere though. That being said, this makes me take a new approach to these people. I'm not gonna be standing over here making fun of you, gossiping, etc. That would make me as toxic as you.

If I messed up somehow, and it's something that I can fix, I'm going to.

If it's your fault though... And you ain't trying to set things straight, then good golly bro... Hope you're okay with watching me from Taiwan, 'cause I'm finna distance myself. Don't even think about re-approaching until you're ready to fix what's between us.

Beef was meant to be ground up, not carried with you everywhere you go.
