My Future and Its Endless Possibilities

So today was a sick day for me. Not like, "Woah dude! Far out! Your life sounds sick!"

Like, I woke up feeling like I would vomit. So I didn't get to go to class, and basically I've been confined to me room for.... 6+ hours as of right now I think. On to happier things though.

Anyway, so this gave me a lot of time for thought, granted I did have a few word puzzles to do that the nurse gave me (Bless her heart). So what I thought about was the fact that I didn't know what I was doing post-graduation this spring. And you know, no matter how often people tell you that it's not important to know that right away, it almost always is. Because EVERYBODY asks you, and frankly it sounds lame if you're just like, "Uh. College for sure. Maybe even a degree."

If any of my family finds or reads this....

Surprise! If you didn't know, now you know lol

So I knew for sure what area I wanted to go into, and that was Residential Carpentry. Which I mean, isn't a super typical occupation, because nowadays everyone's just like, "I wanna be a nurse, or a police officer, or a teacher!" Which is great for them, because the world need's good nurses, and police officers, and it sure as heck needs better teachers.

Anyways. So it's just really different because like, you don't really need to go to college... You don't need to go to a Brick-and-Mortar University with all the weird symbols and fraternities or whatever they're called. You can just do an apprenticeship instead. Seriously, there's a lot of options. Even if you do want to go to a Technical College, I priced up a college not too far from where I live, and or could live, and it was like $4000. Or free if you're a resident of the state, which would be pretty cool I would say. Granted there's still fee's here and there, but the moral of the story is that it would be a lot cheaper than 4,000 dollars, which is already thousands less than what's being paid for my education in my current situation. Plus, you don't need a whole lot of math! Granted of course, there's the necessary mathematical skills for the job that they teach, but that's just what you'll actually need to get your jobs done. And on another upside, Residential Carpenters start out making like $20/hour, which is a lot more than I'm making currently..

So it seems like a pretty good option I would say, right? I mean, I could definitely be wrong, but I could also definitely be right...

I don't know, maybe I still don't know what I'm doing. This has just been behind my face and above my throat all day today, so I thought I'd share. After all, that's what this blog is for. :)
