ANNOUNCEMENTS: (Or just skip to the next section)
Fran is sitting on the couch next to me listening to "Here Comes the Sun". Thought you'd enjoy that update. On to our regularly scheduled programming.
Also, to those reading this, if you were one of the people that originally bought merchandise from me, and still haven't paid me almost an entire year later, please pay me. I'm'ma start name-droppin here pretty soon, and we all know you don't want that.
If @JamieCox has to pay for merch, so do you.
Any other announcements......OH. Merch is still available. If you want shirts, hoodies, stickers, or just about anything else, let me know and I can get a quote on it, depending on the suppliers rates. Also, hit me up with cool design ideas, or different things you would be interested in having on them.
Peoples is peoples.
One of the best movies I've ever seen in my life is The Muppets Take Manhattan. There's a great quote by the owner of a diner in that movie that goes a little like this:
“Hey, I tell you what is. Big city, hmm? Live, work, huh? But not city only. Only peoples. Peoples is peoples. No is buildings. Is tomatoes, huh? Is peoples, is dancing, is music, is potatoes. So, peoples is peoples. Okay?”
To be fair, there was also a quote about sticking Jell-O down your pants, so yeah, not everything in the movie makes sense....
Okay, so, we're talking about the peoples part. I have such a love-hate relationship with people. I would definitely be more of a people person if it weren't for all the people. Some people just get on my nerves for no reason. Some people get on my nerves for every reason. Some people TRY to give me reasons for them to be on my nerves. Others try very hard NOT to. Please be like that last one.
At the end of the day though... say it with me.... peoples is peoples. Ultimately there's not a lot you can do to change who somebody is, or how the two of you interact. I've had the same two people leave me hanging when I needed them the most every day that we've had something scheduled for like the past week or two.
But hey, peoples is peoples...
You can't rely on peoples. People suck. Most of them at least.
Not even being pessimistic. Just realistic.
The sad part is, all of the ones that don't suck have to deal with the ones who do. All the time. My job description is as follows: "Stand behind a counter and deal with hangry old people that want to use all of their coupons to get a free meal". Because yeah, Millenials are the only "entitled" ones. *inserts side-glare frowning emoji*
I saw this diagram once in the shape of a circle. It went:
Hard times->Tough people->Easy times->Weak people->Hard Times.
The problem in society now, is that we've been stuck in that 'Weak People->Hard Times' section for way to long. that's the circle now. It's this spinning wheel that never stops. We mustn't just stop the wheel however. We need to break free of this thing we have become. We need to break the wheel. (shout-out if you get the reference)
Peoples is peoples.
There's so many different ways to interpret that, and I get that. We're on my blog though, so you're gonna hear my side of it lol
At the end of the day, people are just that. People. Nowadays, they've just forgotten that. They don't want to be 'peoples'. They're more focused on being Instagram famous than being an actual living breathing resident of this dying blue orb we call home.
People just need to wake up.
I know I'm not the only one awake.
