Tonight I Bounce Back

For those of you that haven't caught on to how I do things, that title is a song lyric, and the picture that goes along with it has something to do with the artist. So yeah. Cool.

I would like to start out by saying that I'm not really sorry for my previous posts. I have no reason to be. Literally, let me tell you how many people were aware of me not having written the Theses Post, and yet gave me all of the flak anyway. Thanks jerks. You know who you are. Y'all should've seen my DM's. It was wild.

Also, to whoever tried to call "me" out by printing off the entire post, and link, and leaving it all over the dorm and computer lab and stuff, you suck. I hope all of the pens that you use in the future have just recently run out of ink.

So, it would I appear as though I should start writing about more controversial, not necessarily offensive, of opinions, seeing as it worked so well for Override. "95(ish) Theses" got like 95(ish) views, when there were posts from months ago that are still at like 29. So yeah, I know what I'm doing with the future.

I also just noticed the Michigan chains Big Sean is wearing in the picture, so that's pretty cool. I don't even mind that the U.P.'s not on there.

That's really the only part of this post that's gonna have anything to do with bouncing back. Just wanted to get that out there I guess...

I was chilling at the front desk again, because I was working, and one of my friends came in to talk and hang out. You'll know who you are, I promise. :) So, he had a pretty deep thought, and it was about our conscience. Now, I know that that can be how God speaks to us, or they can be thoughts that Satan kinda throws in there, but what about the others? This was more-or-less what his thought was about.

He said:

"What if they haven't perfected time travel in the future, and they can only go back in time in their own body? That way, the thoughts that you have that are like 'don't do that, you really don't want to..' or whatever else it says, are just your future self inside your own body? Like they're trying to stop you from doing something dangerous, or they're trying to prevent a certain string of events from taking place and affecting the future?"

So yeah. That pretty much blew my mind. It took me a minute to fully grasp it, and I may not have worded that properly, but it was still a super cool thought.

And for the third, and funniest, part of this post, I'm gonna tell a story about some shenanigans that I got into with that same friend. Here goes.

So, working desk, you get a lot of calls from random 1-800 numbers, and instead of hanging up right away, sometimes I talk to them for a bit. This is a conversation that I had with a really sketchy "free medical alert system/healthcare" company:

Seller: "Sir, the hour after an accident is called The Golden Hour, because if you can get medical help in that time, your chances of survival are 80%. Any questions so far sir?"

Me: "Yeah, what happens to the other 20%?"

Seller: "Umm.. Sir.. I think we both know what that 20% means.. It's an 80% survival rate, and a 20% unsurvival rate..."

Me: "Hmm. Those are pretty good numbers. Keep going."

Seller: "So, what kind of disabilities do you have? What makes you interested in this?"

Me: "This is actually for my father. He's not as much of a.. uh.. spring chicken as he used to be.. I just don't want him to become part of the 20%.."

Seller: " (holding back laughs and/or frustration) I understand completely sir, I invested in this for my mother a while back.. What is his address sir?"

Me: "He actually lives with me."

Seller: "Well what's your address?"

Me: "Uhhh.... Let me check...*click*"

And that was it. I just thought it was funny though.. That's not exactly word for word or anything, but I made sure to bring up that 20% thing as often as possible. That's an ongoing joke now between me and my friends now. We'll use the term unsurvival a lot. And we'll reference the whole 20% thing a whole lot..

So yeah, that's all I've got for right now. I hope you guys have enjoyed this post, and that you laughed, or cried, or both, or got literally anything out of it. That's what I do all of this for...

Love you guys. You mean the world to me.
